Sharebuilder Purchase – 4/28/2015

Here are my sharebuilder automatic investments this week (4/28/2015).

  • DIS – 0.9038 shares@110.64604 ($100)
  • V – 1.4919 shares@67.0278 ($100)
  • WMT – 1.2602 shares@79.355 ($100)

I invested a total of $300. I continued to add Visa and Walmart from last week. Both stocks increased slightly compared to last week. After a long time, I added Disney (DIS) again. It has been on my list for a while now and was waiting for the stock to drop, but looks like it may not happen. Since my position is very small anyway, I wanted to add Disney a bit more and then see where the prices are. I did not add AT&T since the price increased after the results and my position is also reasonably bigger compared to other weekly purchase stocks. I will hold off on AT&T until I build up other positions or the price drops significantly compared to current levels.

I would also like to increase my position in stocks like PEP as I haven’t added to these stocks in a long time. Will continue to look at adding stocks like BBL and JNJ at reasonable price ranges. Will continue to monitor these stocks for next week’s purchases.

These purchases add $4.22 to my annual dividends. This results in 1.40% yield.

These purchases increase my total annual projected dividends to $2,607.28.

Disclosure: Long on all stocks mentioned above

    • Thanks DL. Didn’t know about the reputable companies list. V’s yield is definitely low for lot of investors, but in addition to dividends, V will provide great capital growth as well. And their payout ratio is very small thus allowing them to raise dividends more than the average market. I definitely regret selling 20 shares of visa few years ago at around $120 (pre-split).
