Another dividend bites the dust – BBL

BBL just announced their dividend cut. Like I mentioned earlier, this was expected and with the volatility in the entire energy/commodities sector. This dividend cut follows KMI and COP since December. BBL announced a 75% dividend cut (from semi-annual dividend of $1.24/share to $0.32/share). I own 52.2051 shares in BBL and this reduces my projected annual dividends by $96.05.

My projected annual dividends has dropped close to $300 from the three dividend cuts. The goal for the year is already in jeopardy.

I hold so many stocks in this sector – CVX, BP, NOV and XOM. 3 down and 4 more to go 😦

My new projected annual dividends stands at $3,206.05 now. I am obviously going backwards towards this goal.

Dividend Cut – COP

After KMI’s dividend cut couple of months ago, another one bites the dust. COP announced the dividend cut this week. I have been expecting dividend cuts in this sector as I mentioned earlier when I set my goals for the year. COP announced a 66.2% dividend cut (from quarterly dividend of $0.74/share to $0.25/share). I own 50 shares in COP and this reduces my projected annual dividends by $98.00. This is a bigger dent compared to dent of ~85+ with KMI. Ouch.

I hold so many stocks in this sector – CVX, BBL, BP, NOV and BBL. Need to wait and see what happens.

My new projected annual dividends stands at $$3,232.41 now.

Dividend Cut – KMI

It is finally here… I was expecting this for a while now and it is finally here. KMI announced a 75% dividend cut yesterday (from quarterly dividend of $0.51/share to $0.125/share). It was a long time coming. I own 54 shares in KMI and this reduces my projected annual dividends by $83.16. Ouch.

Not sure what is going to happen with other related stocks that I hold – CVX, BBL, BP, COP, NOV and BBL. Of the above list, the yields of NOV and BBL are really high and unsustainable. Need to wait and see what happens.

My new projected annual dividends stands at $3,231.37 now.
